The college faculty has about 63 highly competent. Shadan Educational Society is one of the oldest pioneer educational societies in the erstwhile Nizam’s state of Hyderabad. The society was started in 1987 (Reg. No: 1203 dated 18th June 1985) with an objective to extend educational opportunities to the Muslim minority sections of the region. In the backdrop of socio-political landscape in which the society was started explains volumes about the vision and commitment of the founding father and promoter of the society Late Dr.Vizarath Rasool Khan. His dream of starting an educational institution to impart education through medium of English became a reality with the establishment of Shadan Junior College for boys/girls. Starting of this institution, though a small step proved to be a great contribution in enlightening the people and liberation of the region. Many students of this institution excelled in different fields of activity. During the past two and a half decades, Shadan Educational Society evolved into a multi-dimensional organization with several educational institutions functioning under its patronage.

                      Presently, Shadan Educational Society is popularly known for running institutions from KG to PG, managing two High Schools, two Junior Colleges (Boys/Girls), two Colleges for Under Graduate Courses (Boys/Girls) , College of Education, two Colleges (Boys/Girls)for MCA Course, two colleges (Boys/Girls) for MBA Courses, College of Post Graduate Studies (Life Sciences) for women, College of post graduate studies (Physical Sciences), two Colleges of Pharmacy, College of Medical Sciences & College of Para Medical Sciences ,and another Medical College exclusively for Women, first of its kind in India, thus making a landmark for itself in this part of the city.

The Shadan Degree College for Women was started by the society in the year 1988 to fulfill the growing needs of higher education in the region. The College owes its existence to the initiative and untiring efforts of its founding father and promoter Dr.Vizarath Rasool Khan. Under his able guidance and dynamic leadership, the college has grown from strength to strength and emerged as a premier Institution of higher learning in the state with diversified Under Graduate Courses.
